Rev. Daniel W. E. Warntz is a native of Woodward in Centre County PA. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in Science Education, emphasis on Chemistry and Earth Science. He worked at the Agricultural Analytical Service Laboratory at Penn State until he felt the call to ministry and then enrolled at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated from Luther Seminary in 2018 with high honors in Systematic Theology and was an interim pastor at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church at Franklin Lake, MN for two years, filling in after their pastor retired. In 2019, he was called to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Petersburg, West Virginia where he served for three years. He was also the Director of Volunteer Hospital Chaplains and Chaplaincy at the hospital in Petersburg and served as the President of the Board of Directors for the Petersburg Interfaith Food Pantry. Pastor Warntz accepted the Call to St. John's Lutheran Church in Mifflinville and Faith United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nescopeck, PA and officially started on April 1st, 2022. His hobbies include: gardening, music, and studying history, both local and military history. He is also credited with co-authoring two books on history, one local and the other on the Civil War. He and his wife, Rebecca, have been married since 1997 and have one cat as their only child.
